Over 11 million readers with WaPo Labs Social Reader in under six months
Camellia George leads interaction design for WaPo Labs, a digital innovation team inside the Washington Post Company. WaPo Labs’ Social Reader launched in late September and just hit 11 million users!
Camellia is a serial lab-rat. At Intel Labs she designed experiences for imagining the future of mobile money, and served as lead design-researcher for Powis which developed and launched photo books for a number of global partners. Camellia holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon, and an MFA and MA from California College of the Arts. She’s spoken on design and product development at Carnegie Mellon, California College of the Arts, the International Conference on Design Principles and Practices and at MoDev East.
