MoDevUX Adds Jeff Bonforte, CEO of Xobni, as a Keynote Speaker

Jeff Bonforte was recently profiled by CNNMoney as one of the nations 40 under 40: Ones to Watch. Under the leadership of Bonforte, who came on in 2008 and was formerly a VP with Yahoo, the e-mail helper (that company name is “inbox” backwards) has rolled out Smartr, a free plugin for Gmail that streamlines contacts and pulls useful information from your inbox. Xobni is available for Gmail and Outlook, and on mobile with iPhone, Android, and Blackberry. The service has had over 10 million downloads and works to create an “implicit social graph” based on which contacts you email with most frequently.

Prior to joining Xobni in 2008, Bonforte was VP of Social Search at Yahoo!, where he ran Yahoo! Answers and Delicious. Jeff also ran Yahoo! Messenger and oversaw its move from #2 to #1 IM client in the US. Before Yahoo!, Jeff was President and Founder of Gizmo5, an innovator in VoIP that was purchased by Google in 2008. In 1997 Jeff founded and was the CEO of i-drive, the largest online storage tool of the time, with over 10mm monthly unique visitors.
